Last Wednesday, cladded up in candy pink, I was glad to be wearing woolly layers and jeans. Believe it or not, the afternoon we shot this look was a particularly chilly one. It is March, and the soon to be unbearable heat of Summer has been thrusting the mercury up. But for no reason, that evening, the clouds were ganging up on us and threatening with rain. Even if the cool temperatures offered us a soothing afternoon, we were forced to shut the panoramic doors because the mischievous winds wouldn’t give us a rest.
Now that the new year is here, I am sure we are filled with excitement, and desire the to be better, to dare more, and to strive for greatness; in two words: TO CHANGE. In the little attempt to do so, I have been thinking that change doesn’t always need to be drastic. Most big changes occur over long periods of time. As a matter of fact, I truly believe that the best type of change, the ones that will last and make a difference are the small, but persistent ones. Like the drop of water that smoothes the surface of a rock, so will small changes polish us, and our societies in a steady, patient manner. And so, as we have heard so many times, if we want change, we have to make it happen, but I propose we do it in small doses.
Hello lovelies! Mixing prints can prove to be a tad bit risky, particularly in a country like my own, where people are not very used to doing it. However, I have come to the conclusion that, when it comes to style, it is far more important to stay true to yourself, than following the fad of the moment. Here is a look I wore not too long ago. By keeping one color scheme I was able to create an outfit that was quirky, but not wacko. I hope you like it!
Hi guys! My hair has been particularly hard to handle lately with the humidity, the heat and its length. I have to say it can get a little bit frustrating. A couple of weeks ago, I had the luck of trying L’Oreal’s Steam Pod treatment, which hydrated my hair, removed the its frizz and filled it with life. A total wonder! This was not the first treatment I had, but it surely was a great one. I noticed the difference not only on the day I got it, but after showering a few times as well. If you get the chance, I encourage you to try it too! Here are some shots we took on the day I got the treatment done.
If there is one thing that I like doing is trying out different looks with one same garment, it forces me into experiencing with my own wardrobe and practicing my styling skills. For instance, I have worn this super comfy dress in two totally different ways. Too bad I don’t have images of my other look, but just picture this: Gray, striped dress + chunky heel, ankle boots + maxi, gray cardigan. Let me say that it was actually a rather chic, effortless result. Here I leave you with my second look with that one same dress. x
I took this Polo Ralph Lauren look for a stroll a few days ago. Hot pink is not my usual go-to colour, but the contrast between the vibrant tone and the demure light blue stripes of the shorts were captivating and different. I hope you like it.
