While looking into this season’s trends, I read somewhere on the net that “if it isn’t off the shoulder it isn’t right”. And according to every other designer, this is one the truest statements that sums SS17’s runways. Although slowly, but surely the shoulder mania is reinterpreting itself -I dare to say that we will soon be witnessing the revival of the one-shoulder trend, as opposed to the current whole collarbone exposure-, we still are in the major boom of cold shoulders. The already hot temperatures, make me very thankful for the trend, and so, here I leave you with a little number that makes me crave even more for summer. I hope you guys like it!
PS: Oh and btw, I’m absolutely nuts over these gorgeous, super colorful and practical Colombian bags! So proud of my friend from @Mestizo_sv!
I have been hunting for my Christmas and New Year’s outfits since the last weeks of November, but this year the task has proven to be harder than the one before. I have looked online, I have looked on my trip to Spain and to the UK, I have looked on local shops and everywhere I could think of. It was hard, particularly because I did not want to fall on my usual head-to-toe black ensemble. I finally did come across a perfect gold, shimmering, super sexy dress; however, along the way I bumped into perfectly nice and flattering black options that, of course, I thought of sharing with you. So excuse me if you may, but I will now bombard you with a few black outfit ideas for your multiple Holiday gatherings. Let the looks roll!
PS: If you are dying to see what my Christmas gold number is, follow me on Instagram as @AndreaNBonilla and stay tuned 😀
So, holidays are right around the corner, and with all the rush of times we barely have time to stop, think and figure out what to wear to all the many events you might have lined up for the season. To make your life a tad easier, I decided to help you with a few outfit ideas. I love the versatility of this shirt, and how I can go from day to night with it. Here is a look I would happily wear to my friend’s Xmas dinner. What do you think?
For my second eveningwear look in collaboration with Almacenes Simán, I chose a gown that struck me as perfectly balanced. Its simple design is counterweighted by the opulence of its embellishments. To add a special detail, that would lure the eyes, I used a gold belt that also matched the rest of the accessories.
Last week was the second time I had the chance of attending SVFW; a very inspiring event that keeps on surprising me more and more with every edition. Three days. Nine designers. Countless of thrilling emotions.
I didn’t want to go beyond this week without sharing with all of you my favourite looks proposed by the salvadoran up & coming cool young designers. Although the sources of inspiration for the collections were all very different, they all rose to the occasion and proved us, that this little country has quite a talented crowd pushing for the fashion industry.
Going over Marc Jacobs Cruise 2015 collection was like unwrapping a shimmering mid-year present. It’s like one of those gifts that shimmer so brightly, you actually consider not unwrapping it at all. It seems as if that was what the designers at MJ had in mind when they came up with Resort 2015. Why choose between the colourful wrapping paper, the lush ribbons or the glossy bows, when the sight of them combined brings us such excitement?
If I am an accessory-holic (and there is a big chance of it), then I have definitely found accessories to indulge in. Shoes and handbags were all-glitter, all-bows, all-embellishments. And don’t even get me started on the boots (which have a high resemblance to Saint Laurent AW14 ones, if I may point out). Guipure lace here and there also made a stellar appearance in the form of dresses and trousers. This was surely a season made only for the lively ones!
