Army green is hands down one of my preferred colours to wear, perhaps because it combines well with so many others (pink, mustard, camel, black, orange,…); or maybe, because of the cool, ready to battle feel that it discharges. Now that I come to think about it, it also happens to be a staple colour of one of my favourite casual brands: Marissa Webb. So maybe it is a little bit of all of this together what pulls me towards the hue. Whatever it may be, here is a look that revolves around the concept of strength and combat, a mood that is given by the cargo jeans and the killer Vince Camuto laser-cut heels.
By now, if you love, breathe, and live fashion to a certain minimum, you know that hussar inspired jackets are one of the straight-out-of-the-oven hot pieces of the season. Inspirited by that epoch, I wore a black romper with a military green jacket and a pair of ankle boots. A look that owns both, the decorum of olden times chivalry, and the sexiness of a little short jumpsuit. I hope you like it!
One of the best parts of Fashion is pushing your creativity in order to make new, and unique combinations. Layering is an easy way of achieving originality on your look on a daily basis. A few days back, I grabbed a simple, off the shoulder, white dress that -TBH- hadn’t much going in for it, and layered it in a way that I would actually want to wear. I topped the dress with a sandy colour crochet vest, and again with a military style gilet. How do you guys feel about it?
I’ve already mentioned before my love for interior design. There’s something about creating warm and inviting ambiances that sooth you after a long work day. Hence, when I step in a place that offers me an eye-catching piece of decoration, I always appreciate it. My visits to “Hecho en Casa”, a small space devoted to showcasing everything from clothes to furniture, strictly designed and made in El Salvador, are always a chance to find interesting pieces. I came by a few weeks ago and loved the atypical luminaire display on their outside balcony. I hope you find it as inspiring as I did!
Happy Tuesday you guys! Third pieces are always a great way to pull an outfit together. They allow us to create interesting silhouettes, as well as play with colours and volumes. This is why it is always a good idea to invest on them. However, with El Salvador’s heat, it is sometimes difficult, and even silly to wear third pieces. BUT! one can always find a way, and in our case, vests are a great choice to layer up without feeling like a smoked piece of ham. I wore this outfit last week and was super in love with the utility vest, plus a girl can always use a couple of extra pockets! I hope you like it!
My everyday uniform these days can’t be complete without my high waist bottoms. This time, I paired black jeans with an olive green cropped shirt. The little splashes of tan resulted an understated cool look.
