While looking into this season’s trends, I read somewhere on the net that “if it isn’t off the shoulder it isn’t right”. And according to every other designer, this is one the truest statements that sums SS17’s runways. Although slowly, but surely the shoulder mania is reinterpreting itself -I dare to say that we will soon be witnessing the revival of the one-shoulder trend, as opposed to the current whole collarbone exposure-, we still are in the major boom of cold shoulders. The already hot temperatures, make me very thankful for the trend, and so, here I leave you with a little number that makes me crave even more for summer. I hope you guys like it!
PS: Oh and btw, I’m absolutely nuts over these gorgeous, super colorful and practical Colombian bags! So proud of my friend from @Mestizo_sv!
A friend of mine owns a small house that clings to one of the sides of San Salvador’s volcano. It is a very cozy cabin that houses a garden double its size, with striking views of the city. Last week, for a change, I burrowed the place and went over to catch a breath of clean air. Here are a few shots we took from our visit to the place.
Hi everyone! We have already stepped into a new season. A season of rich colours and textures; a season to turn to comforting food and cosy clothes. Albeit, El Salvador is not a country that drops into winter temperatures, we surely get the chilling breeze of the end of the year; specially at night, when the cold wind delights us the most with the smell of Christmas. So trying out suedes, long sleeves and ruffles seems just right. Cheers to the new season!
November 1st, 2016. Can you believe it?! As we start the month, I’m here to share with you one more of my looks. On this occasion, I committed myself to print mixing once again. A two piece floral set with leopard print flats seemed like a perfectly crazy combination. I hope you guys like it!
Hi guys! I loved the easiness of this look: a bare shoulder, a frayed hem, a monochrome palette. It is my perfect combination for a casual work day. Plus my feet appreciate the flat, classic Audrey Hepburn style pumps. I hope you guys like it!
PS: I was so lucky to step into the chic boutique hotel of Il Bongustaio. This petite, 5 room, hotel is a certain oasis in the middle of the city. It transported me to an Italian villa, with its beautiful gardens, filled with cascading bougainvilleas; its dome shaped hallways, and its marbled floors. A soothing place, that certainly goes well with the italian cuisine served at the, open to all public, next door restaurant.
You do not need to be super observant to have noticed that A-line button ups is the way to go about skirts these days. They are cool, effortlessly chic, and play well with absolutely anything! And as it happens, they are also one of my favourite trends of the season. If we talk materials, I would say, opt for suedes or denims. And lengths? Although the queens of street-style have showcased them in a parade of lengths, I will always vow for minis!
