Hi guys! For those who celebrated labour day on Monday, I hope you had a great long weekend! And for those of you who didn’t, well we are already halfway through the week, so do not despair!
I have been a little bit absent for the last week, but there is a very good reason for that. I am currently working on a few really exciting projects, one of them directly linked to Red Rosy Chic, and well, that has absorbed a lot of my time, and will continue to do so for the upcoming days, so please bare with me a bit. Nevertheless, here is one of my latest looks. Pink has always been a dear colour of mine, and the current season has me relishing on it.
“She always gets the best of shoes”, said the uber stylish Elizabeth Saltzman referring to my shoe shopping skills at sample sales. And yes, I recognize that I do have a nose for good shoe deals. You wouldn’t believe how much I payed for these flawlessly cute Oscar pumps! I’ll keep it a secret for the sake of mystery, but I will tell you this much, I got them for less than one fifth of the actual retail price! And the best part, they totally make me feel like a princess!
Fringe, pussy bows, and mini skirts, are only a few of the staples that pinpoint the 70’s trend. Inspired by those revolutionary years, I put together a look in a neutral colour palette. I hope you like it!
Going over Marc Jacobs Cruise 2015 collection was like unwrapping a shimmering mid-year present. It’s like one of those gifts that shimmer so brightly, you actually consider not unwrapping it at all. It seems as if that was what the designers at MJ had in mind when they came up with Resort 2015. Why choose between the colourful wrapping paper, the lush ribbons or the glossy bows, when the sight of them combined brings us such excitement?
If I am an accessory-holic (and there is a big chance of it), then I have definitely found accessories to indulge in. Shoes and handbags were all-glitter, all-bows, all-embellishments. And don’t even get me started on the boots (which have a high resemblance to Saint Laurent AW14 ones, if I may point out). Guipure lace here and there also made a stellar appearance in the form of dresses and trousers. This was surely a season made only for the lively ones!
