Pick of the Week: SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker

If there was one thing that the World was waiting for this year, it would have to be Sarah Jessica Parker’s shoe line for Nordstrom. Although the SJP collection has been out for a while now, I can’t go on further without choosing one as my Pick of the Week! The problem is, I can’t make up my mind between the Silvia sandal and the Maud metallic sandal. They’re both über stylish! Which one would you go for?

I’m back!

I’m back in El Salvador, and I plan on sticking around for a while. It will be a great time to rediscover my hometown and to be close to my family and friends. This photoshoot was taken at a member’s country club. I used to spend a lot of my spare time after school here with my sister and cousins, playing tennis, swimming and sipping the heat out over frozen strawberry drinks!  I hope you enjoy it!

The Pick of the Week: Tee Shirt Earrings

“I fell. I fell in Dior.” Carrie Bradshaw

I currently have the desire to splurge on Tee Shirt Earrings. I first saw them on the graceful Chloe Hill ( The Fashion Market Editor at Instyle Australia had the original white pearl earrings.

About a week ago, as I was dashing towards my gate in Heathrow Airport, I brought myself to make an oh-so-needed pit stop at the Dior store. I was hoping to refuel my energy and maybe tick the desired earrings off my “To Buy List” without the aggravating taxes! It seemed like a definite win-win situation. Unfortunately, as the sales assistant assured to me, the earrings are so popular that they sell like hot buns. Whenever they restock, they immediately run out of them. They only had a green pair left. The hunt for the white, or silver, or gold and silver tee shirt earrings is still on. This is why they had to make it to my Pick of The Week.

London: Just Like Home!

One of the perks of living in many different places is that you meet wonderful, new people. One of the disadvantages of living in many different places is having to say goodbye. London is one of the cities that has left an indelible mark on me. When I’m there, I don’t feel like an outsider; I don’t consider myself as a tourist. It’s easy to spot a tourist from miles away. They usually have a slight lost, but amazed look on them. They’re always carrying one, or two, or even three cameras with them, and if they don’t snap a shot every other minute, they’re not really living the experience. We have all been tourists at least once in our lives. But in London, I’m not one. This is a city that really feels like home to me. I guess that’s why I don’t feel the urge to capture every historic place, monument or moment. Although I would love to share with you all the amazingness that makes London shine, I’m afraid, that this time, I was a lousy blogger. With this said, I wanna leave you with a few pictures of my recent trip to London!

The Vogue Festival 2014

Video edited by Marielli Rodriguez

My last weekend of March was full of style, personalities and rendez-vous. I had the pleasure to attend Vogue Festival 2014 in London, a two-day fashion fair in which top designers, models, and editors gather to share their experiences and professional wisdom to anyone who’s willing to listen.

Fashion is undeniably a darwinian environment.  The competition is fierce and only the strongest, sharpest, and most passionate can survive. Meeting those who have already become legends (Phoebe Philo, Franca Sozzani, Naomi Campbell, Manolo Blahnik,…) is always inspiring and encouraging. As Diane Von Furstenberg said: “That’s fashion. It never stops. It’s like a train journey, and some people come in, and some people leave, and the landscape changes. So enjoy the ride.”

I visited El Salvador for a few days at the beginning of March, and while I was there I was invited to a few fashion events. I have been lucky to go to a fair amount of fashion shows internationally, and to be honest, I wasn’t expecting much locally. To my surprise, the shows I attended turned out to be very interesting productions.
