Oh, Canada!

I love, love, love to travel! Although, I’m a Canadian by birth, I had never really had the chance to travel around the country.  My time in Montreal and Ottawa were particularly cold, but when you’re in good company and with a knowledgeable citizen, my amazing friend Simca (thank you for that!), nothing else matters. It was actually the perfect excuse to drink lots and lots of hot chocolate and wine! I hope you guys enjoy the few shots I took in our amazing trip to Montreal, Ottawa, and Toronto!

A Short Visit!

DSC_0947

It feels good to stop. This is the first time I have done it in the last couple of weeks! My sister, Graciela, came to Canada for a quick visit, and we made the most out of it. Toronto, Cambridge, Montreal, Ottawa…I told you it has been non-stop, but it was definitely worth it!

Luckily, I managed to take a few shots at our hotel in Montreal. My gorgeous, lovely sister took the photos for me. Since we were walking like there was no tomorrow, I kept my outfits as simple and comfy as possible. Knowing me and my love for sparkles, I always tried to add a special detail to my looks, such as the jewelled collar on this white shirt. Also, I was so happy that the new pair of flat boots I had just purchased back home came in handy!

PS: There’s a little surprise at the end of the post!

Pick of the Week: Book Clutch

Not every “Once upon a time” ends with a “Happily ever after”, but this one surely does. I’m very much into cool, eccentric clutches, and Kate Spade NY recently came up with a pretty good selection. “I Married Adventure,” “Paris and the Single Girl,” “A Tale of Two Cities,” and “The Never Ending Love Story” are some of the titles that they have decided to publish. Yes, I’m talking about clutches in the shape of books! It’s a trend that unites two of my favourite things: Fashion & Reading. My perfect Pick of the Week!

No todo “Había una vez” termina en un “Vivieron felices para siempre”, pero éste sí que lo hace. Me encantan los bolsos de mano (clutches) divertidos y originales, y Kate Spade cuenta actualmente con una colección bastante buena. “I Married Adventure”, “Paris and the Single Girl”, “A tale of two cities”, “The Never Ending Love Story”,… son algunos de los títulos que la marca ha decidido publicar. ¡Sí, estoy hablando de clutches en forma de libros! Se trata de una tendencia que une dos de mis cosas favoritas: Moda y Lectura.

A Wardrobe Find

DSC_0447

About a week ago, I found this random vest in my wardrobe… I sincerely think it belongs to my grandmother. You see, whenever she comes to El Salvador, I let her borrow my bedroom, so half of my closet is filled with her clothes. When I found this vest, I thought it would look good layered up with a denim jacket. I think the end result is actually pretty cool. What do you guys think?

PS: I’m sorry I haven’t posted anything lately. I’m back in Toronto only for a couple of weeks, which means I have lots to do, and little time to do it.

Pick of the Week: Safety Pin Bracelet

When scouting for jewellery, there’s one thing I look out for: the details. To me, it is all about the delicate little things. That is definitely why, when I stumbled upon Missoma‘s Trinket collection, I immediately loved it! The bracelets are simple, chic, and stylish. They come in various colours and with different charms.

Last week, I hosted a Baby Shower for a Mom-to-be. Funnily enough, a few days later, I found myself considering buying Missoma’s Safety Pin charm bracelet. Which one would you buy?
