Pick of the Week: Beach Tote

I know my last “Pick of the Week” was already a handbag, but I’ve been lusting over this one for a while now, so I can’t wait any longer to talk about it! I saw it for the first time back in December and I’ve been looking out for it to hit stores since then. Believe me when I say that the images don’t really do justice to the piece… it is much prettier and alluring in real life. I love love love the striped PVC. So simple, so chic! It makes up for a perfect beach tote. The bag comes in two sizes. I say bigger is better!

The LWD

IMG_2230

I agree, every girl should have at least one LBD, but I also think every girl should have at least one LWD. A Little White Dress is a must have, especially when living in a sunny and warm country. What I love about this particular one is that it can take me from day to night with a simple change of shoes! The simplicity of this shift dress is what makes it so wearable, and the sequins really add up to its chic style. I think you already know how I feel about sequins, but just in case you don’t… I go crazy over them! I find it really hard to resist them. Yes, I admit it…Sometimes I think I have a mini Sharpay Evans inside me, and this is her talking.

Pick of the Week: Faux Crocodile Skin Handbag

Bimba & Lola is one my favourite Spanish brands. This is a high street brand that aims to offer a whole experience. They cherish what they do, and who they do it for. From the outside, their windows are perfectly styled with covetable outfits that leave you craving for more. Inside their small prim stores, they display their selective stock in perfectly arranged piles and shelves. It is like walking into a glamorous, yet inviting, living room. The relaxing music, the fresh smell, and the array of colours and textures add a particular sense of luxury to their already plush environment.

What I love the most about the brand is their accessories. Jewellery, shoes, and handbags are a collection of precious stones that shimmer beautifully in their respective shelves. Here is one of the bags that I currently like.

Coral Midi Skirt

IMG_2299

Talking about midi skirts, on my last post, reminded me of this neoprene one that I got not too long ago from AsosMidi skirts were all over the AW14 runways, from Céline to Prada to Rochas… I find that the real key to wearing this type of skirts is combining them with a pretty pair of slenderizing high heels, let them be boots, pumps or sandals… they just add that certain je-ne-sais-quoi that ties it all together.

Pick of the Week: Full Skirt

If there is something that Tibi knows how to do, it’s skirts. They really have me there with their beautiful princess-like designs! But this time they have outdone themselves! The FW14 season witnessed Balenciaga’s amazing monochrome marble print. Somehow this piece reminds me of it, with its black and white swirls… This full skirt has it all, the perfect puffiness, the perfect length, and of course the perfect paint splattered print. What’s there not to love? I would pair it up with this other Tibi black and white top… same palette, different print, flawless look!

Paradise

DSC_0060

She was all alone, facing the vastness. She gazed and squinted, but the immensity was greater than what her eyes could capture. The harder she tried, the harder it was to draw the borderlines. She closed her eyes and gave in to the quiet rush. The crisp cool water was dancing shyly around her ankles. The billowy breeze kept on brushing against her bare skin and hair. She could taste the saltiness clinging to her lips. When she opened her eyes, the sky was a dome of gold, and the beach was the crystal reflection of it. The gold melted into blood orange, and then into pink. It was surreal. It was breathtaking. It was Paradise, she thought.
